Our influence, whether we intend it to or not, is the essence of leadership. That leadership, whether we realize it or not, is built on the dynamic of authority and submission. Authority and submission have been hijacked, distorted, manipulated and abused for the sake of small purposes. The eternal purposes of authority and submission open up the possibilities of changing the world around us forever. We will only be able to access those possibilities by operating within the design of how authority and submission are intended. The only way to do that is to allow ourselves to be shaped by them, not the other way around.
